An armband wraps a band of pattern around the forearm or bicep. Most are tribal in style — Polynesian-influenced rows of chevrons, weaves and triangles in solid black — though bands can also be geometric, floral or script.
It is stencilled directly onto the arm rather than drawn flat, because an arm tapers. A band that looks symmetrical on paper will sit crooked on the limb unless the pattern is adjusted to the actual shape, so placement is checked with you before the first line goes in.
All armband tattoo work is done at our studio at Church Basilica Junction, Old Goa. Talk your idea through with Ravi, Aakash or Rahul Khavadiya, or browse all our tattoo styles. Clients booking this style often also look at Mandala Tattoos and Traditional Tattoos.
