Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your new tattoo to prevent bacteria and infection.
Wash using lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Use only your fingertips and gently pat dry with a clean paper towel.
Use a thin layer of tattoo aftercare ointment suggested by your artist. Avoid heavily scented lotions or petroleum jelly.
After a few days, switch to a fragrance-free moisturizer and apply regularly to avoid dryness and cracking.
Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and soaking your tattoo for at least two weeks during the healing process.
Keep your tattoo away from direct sunlight and tanning beds. After healing, use SPF sunscreen to maintain color vibrancy.
Mild itching and scabbing are normal. Never scratch or peel scabs as it may damage the tattoo and affect healing.
Tight clothing can rub against the tattoo and cause irritation. Choose soft and breathable fabrics during healing.
Slight redness is normal. If you notice excessive swelling, pus, or unusual heat, contact your tattoo artist immediately.
